Barcelona’s recent win over Real Betis have helped them seal Champions League football next season whilst putting them in the driver’s seat in the race to finish second in La Liga this term.

But as per Mundo Deportivo, Xavi Hernandez was not happy at all with the team’s performance in the game, despite the end result.

Ever since their 4-0 victory over Real Madrid, Barcelona have failed to exhibit attractive, organised football we can usually associate with the Catalans.

Often looking disjointed in the press and predictable in the attack, it is not a surprise why Barcelona dropped a plethora of points throughout April. The Real Betis game was no exception as the hosts once again looked unpredictable and had to rely on the heroics of Ansu Fati.

The report suggests Xavi is extremely unsatisfied with the performance against Real Betis. He is particularly unhappy with a few players including Dani Alves, Ferran Torres, Frenkie de Jong and Ousmane Dembele.

Dembele is a curious case as the Frenchman had been arguably one of La Liga’s best players up until the start of April. But his purple patch seems to be over as the winger has gotten quite predictable.

Dembele exhibited a similar level of predictability against Los Verdiblancos and failed to create any real attacking opportunity. The same can be said for Ferran, while Frenkie produced one of his worst performances of the season.

The Dutchman, amid countless speculations over his future at the club, struggled to impose his authority in the middle of the park. His lack of form also comes at a time the midfielder has had a bit of discontent with the manager.

His underwhelming performances could now compel Barcelona to sanction a summer exit, with Xavi reportedly on board with the idea of signing Bernardo Silva as a replacement.
