There is a sense of relief at Barcelona given the situation at the centre-forward position. Right now, Robert Lewandowski continues to be an unassailable presence and the Poland international will soon be accompanied by Vitor Roque by January or next summer.

Barcelona are already assured of Lewandowski’s presence for the 2024-25 season, despite growing interest from Saudi Arabia.

This will mark the third season of the four-year contract Lewandowski originally signed with the club. During the 2024-25 financial year, there’s a stipulation that allows the club to terminate his contract if the Polish striker plays in less than 55% of the total games.

In any way, the technical department of Barcelona remains tirelessly vigilant, constantly monitoring for any new talents or market opportunities, and as reported by SPORT, here are a few options that the team are considering for the future.

Victor Osimhen

Barcelona have many names on their agenda and one standout player in their portfolio is Victor Oshimen, playing from Napoli. The reason why he is an exciting prospect is that his contract with the Italian club is set to expire in 2025.

Presently, his price tag stands at a formidable €120 million, reflecting his high market value. However, things might change towards next summer considering his difficult situation at the club.

Santiago Gimenez

Santiago Gimenez, a 22-year-old Mexican striker currently plying his trade at Feyenoord, has emerged as another highly sought-after prospect for Barcelona. With a contract that extends until 2027, his market valuation fluctuates between €30 to €40 million.

Jonathan David

Jonathan David, the forward from Lille, has also captured Barcelona’s attention. With his contract set to expire in 2025, should he opt not to extend it, Lille may find themselves compelled to part ways with the player. Initially, his market value is estimated to be in the range of €50 to €60 million.

Victor Boniface

Barcelona has expressed interest in Victor Boniface, a 22-year-old Nigerian player currently with Bayer Leverkusen. Boniface’s contract is set to expire in 2028, and he is reportedly available for a transfer fee ranging from €30 to €40 million. In his 13 appearances for Leverkusen, he has scored 10 goals and four assists.

Serhou Guirassy

Serhou Guirassy, who is currently contracted with Stuttgart until 2026, stands out as a notable figure. He boasts an impressive track record of 29 goals and 4 assists in 37 appearances for the German team and his market value is estimated at approximately €40 million.

Anthony Martial

For quite some time, the name of Anthony Martial has been linked to Barcelona. At 27 years of age, the Manchester United forward has scored 89 goals and 54 assists in more than 300 games and he is valued at approximately €15 million.

Mehdi Taremi

Ollie Watkins

Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins boasts a market valuation ranging from €50 to €55 million. His contract with the club is set to run until 2028, and during his time with the English team, he has played 132 matches, finding the back of the net 52 times and providing 17 crucial assists.

Evan Ferguson
