The hunt for a new forward signing continues for Xavi Hernandez and Joan Laporta as they look to bring Barcelona back into a competitive shape.

The January window will be the first one since the appointment of the club legend as manager. Needless to say, it will be a crucial period for Xavi as he hopes to bring in reinforcements that fit his system.

According to reports from SPORT, Barcelona have identified three targets which could make the move to Camp Nou in the winter window.

Hakim Ziyech is the first name on the wishlist of Barcelona. The Moroccan international made a big-money move to Stamford Bridge in 2020 after a stellar chapter at Ajax.

However, he has not endured the best of times in England. In his first season at Chelsea, the winger recorded only two goals in over 23 appearances with three assists. Nevertheless, there is a hope that his Ajax roots could help him adjust at Barcelona if a move goes through.

The other name mentioned is Christian Pulisic. The American international, also currently playing at Chelsea, has struggled to shine at London. He registered only six goal contributions in the Premier League last year.

Pulisic is only 23 years old, and could provide the exact profile of pace and width that Xavi is looking for in a new signing.

The third name on the list is that of Callum Hudson Odoi. The 21-year-old debuted for Chelsea in 2017-18 and soon became an integral part of the team dynamics.

However, the club’s big transfer window following that has seen him slightly reduce in prominence. Barcelona could look to capitalise on the situation.
