Barcelona have seen an influx of young talent from La Masia and the B team into the senior squad recently.

The likes of Ansu Fati, Gavi, Oscar Mingueza, Ronald Araujo and Nico Gonzalez have all become integral members of the first team. In addition, more recently, youngsters Abdi Ezzalzouli and Ilias Akhomach have also recently broken into the senior setup.

Another youngster from the B team that is held in high regard within the club, but is yet to make his debut is defender Arnau Comas. The 21-year-old, however, is in the final year of his contract with Barcelona and is being linked with a move to the Premier League.

Indeed, as per journalist Santi Ovalle of Cadena SER (h/t Fichajes), two English clubs, Leicester City and Everton are interested in signing him on a free transfer in the summer, when his Barca contract runs out.

A product of La Masia, Comas is the captain of Barcelona B and has missed just one of their 13 league games this season. The Blaugrana, for their part, do not wish to see the youngster leave and would be open to handing him a two-year contract. The player himself wants to stay and go on to become a first-team member.

However, the big contracts on offer from clubs in the Premier League could sway his mind. Leicester are looking at the prospect of losing Wesley Fofana, who is on the radars of several top clubs. Everton, meanwhile, want to upgrade their backup options in the centre-back department.

Comas, given his age and potential availability on a free transfer, makes for a viable target for both the English outfits. Any move, however, would depend on his contract situation. If Barcelona are able to convince him to sign a new contract, both Leicester and Everton can kiss their hopes of signing the 21-year-old goodbye.
