Video: Xavi mentoring Adama Traore at La Masia in 2004

The story of Adama Traore’s return to Barcelona has caught the attention of media like wildfire. The Wolverhampton Wanderers winger spent a significant part of his early career at the Catalan capital, thereby rubbing shoulders with some of the club’s biggest stars.
When he joined La Masia in 2004, Traore took part in a TV show called La Classe del Barca which aimed to help the young talents learn from the club’s most successful players.
During that event, the winger learned directly from now-Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernandez as seen in the video below.

Many years later, Traore was awarded his first-team debut in November 2013 against Granada. There, he got a chance to share the dressing room with the Barcelona legend until his departure to the Premier League.
Now, he has reunited with Xavi, who specifically requested his signing. This time, their relationship takes the role of a teacher and student, for Traore will be directly working under the mentorship of the World Cup winner.
The forward scored eight goals in 63 games for Barcelona B before his promotion. However, he made only four appearances for the senior outfit, scoring one goal.
