According to journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Barcelona are in the race with Juventus to sign Gianluigi Donnarumma from AC Milan, as the young Italian goalkeeper nears the end of his contract with the Rossoneri.

At the same time, the Italian journalist also states that the Catalans have listed Marc Andre ter Stegen. It is reported that Donnarumma’s agent Mino Raiola has more or less similar offers from both Juventus and Barcelona, consisting of a base salary of 10 million euros plus bonuses, of course, with commissions for Raiola excluded.

AC Milan seem to have no more optimism regarding Gigi Donnarumma’s renewal, which has prompted them to sign Lille’s Mike Maignan. Donnarumma has already been linked to Barcelona in the past and has left many wondering if he is a long-term solution for the Blaugrana’s goalkeeping position.

However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano seems to have news that states otherwise. He reports that ter Stegen has not been told anything about a potential transfer by Barcelona and his intention remains to stay at the club without wavering since he is a key player.

The German shot-stopper had been linked to Borussia Dortmund, but Romano debunks the claims, saying that Dortmund are pursuing Stuttgart keeper Gregor Kobel and there has been no contact with ter Stegen whatsoever.

Ter Stegen is keen on recuperating from his knee surgery and rejoining the squad in order to compete once again, and he does not consider a move away from Barcelona at all.

As for Donnarumma, his future should be clear very soon, since Juve have actively been on the lookout to replace Wojciech Szczesny. Barcelona need to reinforce their defense more than anything and signing the young Italian might not be a priority for Joan Laporta and his board at the moment.
