Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos recently appeared on famous streamer Ibai Llanos’ program ‘Chatting Quietly’ which he began a few weeks ago. The Spaniard spoke to the renowned content creator about all things Real Madrid and also about rivals Barcelona and the figures surrounding them.
Ramos was the sixth guest on the program, where Barcelona defender Gerard Pique had also made an appearance a few weeks ago. Ramos has been making a lot of headlines recently as his future with the Galacticos is currently in the air. His chat with Llanos, he stated that if he were to leave, he would want to do so with a “clear conscience.”
Sergio Ramos then said that he cannot disclose any further details about his future with Real Madrid. The defender then proceeded to speak highly of Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.
“It would be an honor if Messi would sign for Real Madrid one day. We have suffered a lot from him, and we’d be happy to have him. I could even let him sleep in my house for the first couple of weeks while he settles down,” said Ramos.
Talking further upon his encounters with Barcelona in the past, he also heaped praise on Pep Guardiola’s side from years ago, saying: “Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona is the best side I have ever played against.”
Ramos also spoke about his relationship and rivalry with Gerard Pique, fondly recalling the times the pair played together for the Spanish national team: “Piqué and I didn’t need to speak to each other on the pitch. We understood each other so well.”
He was also quick to point out his appreciation for Joan Laporta, who recently won the elections at Barcelona and returned as club president. He also spoke about the prospect of playing for his eternal rivals.
“I have a massive respect for Laporta, he’s very charismatic. I met him once and really liked him. But no, obviously I would never play for Barcelona. Not even for 60M. There are some things that money can’t buy,” the Los Blancos captain replied.
