The feelings at the Camp Nou have not been this good in years. The team has somehow recovered their winning mentality and they are ready to face the challenges of tomorrow. A big part of that is also Ronald Koeman, whose slow and steady tweaks to the squad are finally bearing fruits. But there is still a long way to go, of course.
Still, the papers are feeling quite optimistic for once. SPORT, for example, talk about a new Barcelona that’s emerging from the ashes of the old one.
The dressing room has completely surrendered to Koeman and his philosophy. The best part, however, is the fact that this seems to be working and the comeback against Sevilla was the turning point in their season. Barcelona seem different, better and overall a much happier squad now.
Having beaten the Andalusians, a familiar opponent awaits them in the Copa del Rey final – Athletic Club.
Mundo Deportivo are dealing with similar topics, stating Barcelona are finally biting back.
Not only that but they will now go all in for both the Cup and the league, trying their best to claim some silverware this campaign. Of course, that’s not an easy task despite their rejuvenation as of late. But the winning mentality seems to be back and that is a very important thing.
Now all they have to do is translate the good feelings back onto the pitch. If the Catalans can do that, nothing will stand in their way anymore.
After all, the biggest obstacle on their way to success has always been their own mental block.
