Ronald Koeman is a former football player and current head coach of La Liga giants Barcelona. He was appointed as manager of the Blaugrana in August 2020, signing a two-year contract, following his successful spell with the Netherlands national team.
Koeman enjoyed a rather successful playing career and is the top-scoring defender in world football owing to his ability to find the back of the net through free-kicks and penalties. His most famous goal came for Barcelona against Sampdoria in the Champions League final when the scores were level in extra-time, winning them their first European Cup.
The Dutchman has also won four La Ligas and one Copa del Rey while playing for Barcelona, and the European Championship with the Netherlands in 1988.
