Official: Barcelona are new champions of La Liga

Barcelona have officially ended their La Liga drought spanning the last three seasons as they have won the 2022/23 season today with a spectacular 2-4 win over Espanyol at the RCDE Stadium.
Barcelona were involved in a title race across the last three seasons, with Real Madrid winning the league in 2019/20 and 2021/22, and Atletico Madrid winning it in 2020/21.
They have been a dominant force in the league this season, though, winning 27 games out of a possible 34 so far, drawing four and losing three. During this time, they have scored 64 goals and conceded just 11 – a European record.
They have won the title with four games to spare, and with a massive 14 point gap over second best Real Madrid.
This is also their second trophy of the season, having won the Spanish Super Cup 3-1 against Real Madrid earlier this season.
