“Not in talks with any club”: Agent offers update on Barcelona target

With the season done and dusted, the speculations linking Kalidou Koulibaly to a move to Camp Nou are gathering pace, as Barcelona look to move on from Jules Kounde.
It appears the Catalans have been priced out of a move for the Frenchman, with Sevilla reportedly holding out for a fee of around €80 million.
It has led to Barcelona shifting their sights on Koulibaly. The Napoli defender is widely expected to leave the club as his current deal expires at the end of next season.
Various reports suggest Koulibaly has no intention to pen a new contract extension at Napoli and is determined to take the next step in his career. But in a recent presser, his agent Fali Ramadani has poured water over such rumours.
The co-owner of the LIAN Sports Agency has suggested that there is still an agreement to be made with Napoli over Koulibaly’s future and nothing has been finalised as of yet. He has also denied holding talks with any particular club over a summer exit.
“There are so many rumors and I want to clarify that we are not in talks with any club for Koulibaly. We are waiting to meet Napoli to decide on the best solution for both parties,” said Ramadani (h/t Actualité – Barça).
Ramadani is expected to hold talks with Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis next week, over the future of the defensive star.
Although a departure agreement is a likely outcome, Napoli are more than prepared to hand Koulibaly a new contract if the defender wants to continue in Naples.
One would expect Ramadani to play a crucial role in not only negotiating Koulibaly’s exit from Napoli but also his potential move to Barcelona.
