Last month, Barcelona had sent their Financial Feasibility Plan to La Liga, which showed how the club intend to navigate their way through the Financial Fair Play rules by generating fresh revenue and reducing the salary mass of the squad.

According to Gerard Romero, Barcelona’s Feasibility Plan has now been received by La Liga, giving the club the clearance to proceed ahead and execute the plan.

It had been reported that La Liga have not yet accepted any plan from Barcelona. In fact, the agreement has been suggested to be nearly impossible.

But, as of now, nothing has changed in terms of Barcelona’s economic viability plan. It has been received by the league and the club must still reduce the salary mass in order to be able to sign new players. And an approval could go a long way in giving the club a free hand.

The focus for Barça now will be to sanction the sale of their unwanted stars. The likes of Clement Lenglet, Sergino Dest, and Samuel Umtiti will be allowed to leave the club. Some of the star players in the first team may leave too, with Ferran Torres one of the contenders.

The former Manchester City starlet is joined by Ansu Fati and Franck Kessie, in the list of players who may depart in order to make way for new signings.

Once Barcelona create enough room in the salary sheet, they will be able to pursue players, including Lionel Messi. The club can finally submit their proposal for the Argentine international, who is reportedly keen on completing his return to Camp Nou this coming summer.

The likes of Inigo Martinez and Ilkay Gundogan are also in contention to join the club ahead of the new season. But the process may take some time, especially with Barcelona in desperate need of raising money before they can approach new players.
