Culés are not on the same page regarding Koeman’s future

As we’re slowly but surely approaching the end of the season, Barcelona will have some tough decisions to make. The biggest, of course, may involve Lionel Messi but he’s far from the only unsolved dilemma at the club.

Ronald Koeman, for example, could find himself in a rather peculiar situation too. The Dutchman is currently the head coach of the Azulgranas but all of that could change come summer time. After all, Bacelona are getting a new president in March and with him will come new ideas, a new plan and a brand new sporting project.

For Koeman, this could mean a number of different things but one of which is surely getting axed, regardless whether he deserves it or not. But were it up to the fans, would they give him another chance or not?

We’ve decided to ask them ourselves and have taken to Twitter to do so. And as ever, the fanbase seems to be heavily divided on the matter.

On one hand, we have fans who believe Koeman hasn’t been given enough time. After all, he couldn’t exactly mould the squad in his image nor adapt them to his way of thinking. It would then, according to some, be rather unfair of Barcelona to sack him.

But that’s not nearly the only point of view. When you’re a coach at a club like Barcelona, success and trophies are obligatory. Should you fail to bring either, you just may not be good enough to make the cut.

And some Culés believe with Koeman, Barcelona simply won’t win any trophies. Not this year, nor the next.

He can't win a trophy this season and maybe next. He should leave. We need exciting coaches that understands the squad depth and how well to use them.

Either way, the Dutchman will have at least until the end of 2020/21 to prove his worth to the new president. And then, in the summer, we’ll see what happens next.
