In what comes as a major blow for FC Barcelona, Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari is reporting that the midfielder is no longer going to wait for the Catalans.

Instead, the 30-year-old could now be leaning towards a transfer to Al Nassr, who have been pushing hard to sign him and are now satisfying all his demands.

Brozovic has been at the centre of the transfer tug-of-war between Barça and Al Nassr. The Saudi Arabian outfit have already reached a €23 million agreement with Inter Milan, but Brozovic had been stalling on the deal as he waited for the Blaugrana.

In the meantime, though, the Asian club kept pushing hard to convince the Croatian midfielder to join. And it seems that they have achieved their goal and the transfer is now advancing.

While Barcelona held a strong interest in Brozovic, the club are lacking the financial power to go ahead with the deal. It was initially reported that the 30-year-old had an agreement over personal terms and was willing to give the club time to make a formal offer to Inter.

But with the La Liga champions not in a position to make any move until they make some important sales, Brozovic has seemingly decided to move on and is currently leaning towards a transfer to Al Nassr.

Even Fabrizio Romano is reporting that the deal is now progressing from the player’s side, meaning the operation could be on track and Barcelona could miss out on the Inter Milan captain.

In that scenario, the Blaugrana will likely make a move for Girona midfielder Oriol Romeu, who would be available for €10 million or even lower if a player is offered in the deal. Initial contacts have already been made for the transfer and things might soon pick up pace on this front.
