The year seems to be going from bad to worse for Sergi Roberto, who was captured partying in Greece without following pandemic regulations of wearing a mask or social distancing, as reported by El Desmarque. The report also claims that the party was illegal and hosted a gathering of hundreds of people, no less.

Roberto has already caught the Coronavirus once, when he was sidelined due to a hamstring injury. It is highly possible that Roberto has played his last season at Barcelona. It was certainly far from an ideal campaign for the Spaniard, and he would be disappointed to bow out like this, if he indeed leaves. Linked to Manchester City, there is a chance that he could enter a swap operation that sees Aymeric Laporte come to Barcelona.

More than that, though, Roberto’s spot at right-back has come under huge inspection after Barcelona signed Emerson Royal on a permanent deal, paying their share of the player in the form of €9 million. The Brazilian will battle it out with Sergino Dest for that role.

At the same time, the midfield is already overloaded with Frenkie de Jong, Pedri, Sergio Busquets in starting capacities and Ilaix Moriba, Riqui Puig, and as it stands Miralem Pjanic in rotation roles.
