FC Barcelona are bracing themselves for an important evening ahead as they look to register the new signings ahead of the season opener against Rayo Vallecano.

It is widely reported that the Catalans are not in a position to register all their new players in light of their inflated wage bill even after activating a host of economic levers.

However, the club can register some of the players, having offloaded unwanted stars such as Philippe Coutinho, Riqui Puig and Clement Lenglet, among many others. The economic levers have opened helped their bid to achieve financial fair play as well.

But the Blaugrana are not there just yet and may have to prioritise the registration of some of the new signings, ahead of their upcoming game against Rayo Vallecano.

On that note, Ferran Correas has offered an update on Barcelona’s quest to register the new players. The Spanish journalist suggests Barça are not likely to prioritise the registration of Jules Kounde.

The Frenchman was one of the club’s marquee signings this summer after he joined from Sevilla in a big-money move.

Barcelona have high expectations with Kounde, especially with Gerard Pique nearing the final phase of his career. Regarded as one of the best young defensive prospects in Europe, many expect him to become the face of the Barça backline in the years to come.

However, the former Sevilla starlet is coming back from an injury as well and is not exactly fully fit. As such, Barcelona are likely to prioritise the registration of other players including Lewandowski.

La Liga, for their part, are currently auditing Barcelona’s economic profile today and are soon expected to come up with a final decision in regards to the players’ registration.
