Barcelona starlet names three teammates who have impressed him the most: “They are top”

Pablo Torre is one of many players who joined Barcelona in the summer transfer window. While the others boasted years of experience at the highest level of football, the youngster was coming on the back of bright performances in the lower levels of Spanish football.
At the halfway point of the new season, Torre has featured in four competitive matches and has spent most of his time training with the Barcelona first team.
In a recent interview, Torre has opened up on his life at Barça so far, notably listing out a few players who have impressed him the most.
The youngster hailed Pedri, in particular, labelling him as a technically astute player who has truly left him mesmerised. He also mentioned Frenkie de Jong and Ousmane Dembele as others who have impressed him at Camp Nou so far.
“Pedri, Frenkie (De Jong) and Dembele. They are top, top. Technically the one who has surprised me the most is Pedri. He is awesome. He never loses the ball,” said Torre (h/t Diario SPORT).
The Barcelona midfielder went on to clarify his reported feud with Pedri, adding, “In the summer a video came out saying that we did not get along, but when [Pedri] arrived he wrote to me a couple of times. We did not even talk about it “.
Interestingly, the signing of Pablo Torre was a byproduct of Barcelona’s quest to unearth the next Pedri in Spanish football. The young midfielder was one of the star prospects of Racing Club earlier in the year before he agreed to join Barça in order to further his career.
Talking about his time at Barcelona, Torre has praised Jordi Alba for helping him settle in. “He has helped me a lot. All the veterans have collaborated, but the one who came closest was Jordi”, he said.
Since joining the club, Torre has played just four times for the senior team, scoring one goal in the process. The 19-year-old is expected to feature for the Barcelona Atletic side during the World Cup break, with first-team football on a halt.
There have been rumours about a potential loan exit for Torre in January, but the midfielder has confirmed that he wishes to remain at the club.
