Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea eyeing Serie A veteran who will be sold in the summer

Barcelona, Real Madrid and Chelsea are all interested in Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, who will be allowed to leave the club in the summer transfer window, reports Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport.
Brozovic has been with Inter Milan for over eight years now and has established himself as one of the most solid and reliable midfielders in Serie A and Europe.
The 30-year-old even signed a new contract until the summer of 2026 with the Nerazzurri last year. However, the midfielder has been blighted by injuries this season and as a result, has seen his importance recede.
Simone Inzaghi has found a way for Inter Milan to play without the Croatian international this season, thanks to Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. And the Italian giants are now open to the idea of parting ways with Brozovic in the summer, given his age and salary.
Barcelona, for one, have been heavily linked with a move for the 30-year-old in recent times. There were talks of a potential swap deal involving Brozovic and Franck Kessie in the ongoing window, but that operation will not materialise.
However, the possibility of such a deal could be studied in the summer again, especially with Inter now willing to sell Brozovic, who is seen as a good short-term replacement for Sergio Busquets at Camp Nou.
But, Barcelona will have to watch out for competition from Real Madrid and Chelsea, who are also said to be interested in Brozovic, while Juventus are also long-term admirers of the Croatian midfield maestro.
The report suggests that Inter Milan value the 30-year-old midfielder around €30 million even though his contract runs until 2026. He currently earns around €6.5 million per year at Giuseppe Meazza, including bonuses.
Those figures could be within the reach of Barcelona, if they are serious about signing Brozovic in the summer.
