Barcelona have wrapped up three signings for the new season – report

Barcelona’s plans for the coming season are well and truly taking shape as Xavi Hernandez looks to build the foundation of a lasting empire.
The Catalans do have a crucial summer ahead of them, with multiple fringe players likely to leave Camp Nou as part of the club’s massive overhaul.
At the same time, Barcelona could sign a plethora of new players. And according to Diario SPORT, the club have already wrapped up the deals to sign at least three new players in the coming season.
The report indicates the Barça board are working at full throttle to lay down plans for next season, with a major part of their transfer policy likely to revolve around the fate of Ousmane Dembele, whose agents have reportedly restarted talks over a potential contract extension.
It won’t be surprising to see Barcelona dropping the pursuit of Raphinha if they can secure a new deal for Dembele.
The deal for Franck Kessie is all wrapped up by now, with Sergio Busquets even confirming the same in an interview recently. Speaking about the player, he said, “Kessie? Of course the coach saw him and agreed to sign him.
There are other areas the club have done well too, especially in the defensive unit, with Joan Laporta confirming a move for “a centre-back and a midfielder”. Andreas Christensen is touted to be the defender in question.
Noussair Mazraoui reportedly penning a deal with Barcelona amid interest from Bayern Munich, who have recently made a lucrative offer.
The same fate could befall his defensive teammate Cesar Azpilicueta, whose current deal expires at the end of the season.
While Chelsea have reportedly activated a one-year extension before Roman Abramovich’s sanction, the club did promise the defender to leave the club in the summer, which could play into Barcelona’s hands.
With three signings already closed, these are certainly exciting times for Barcelona fans as Xavi looks to build a team capable of competing for not only the league title but also the UEFA Champions League next season.
