Barcelona aware that two targets want to join the club, but face hurdles in signing

Heading into the summer transfer window, it is becoming rather clear that Barcelona will look to strengthen their attacking ranks. With Robert Lewandowski having to shoulder the majority of the goalscoring burden, the Blaugrana are looking for options that can ease the load on the Pole.
The two options that Barcelona have on their radar for the centre-forward position are teenage wonderkid Vitor Roque and veteran hitman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
According to Mundo Deportivo’s Roger Torello, both Roque and Aubameyang are keen to sign for Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
The La Liga leaders have made their first moves with both players and are well aware of the striker duo’s willingness to join them in the upcoming window.
However, while the Catalans might have received the green light from the players’ ends, they believe that convincing their respective clubs over a transfer will be a major hurdle.
Chelsea signed Aubameyang from Barcelona only last summer, shelling out a fee in excess of €10 million. While he had been struggling for minutes at Stamford Bridge so far, the appointment of Frank Lampard as caretaker boss could change things.
There may be a chance that the new permanent manager they appoint in the summer might also want to retain the veteran. In the scenario that the ex-Arsenal ace is not needed, Chelsea would still want to recoup most of the fee that they spent on him last year.
As for Roque, he is one of the most in-demand young talents in the market. And his value is constantly on the rise. Recent reports suggested that Barcelona do not have any intentions of paying the €50 million that Athletico Paranaense are asking for him.
But the Blaugrana are aware that it will take at least €40 million to sign the 18-year-old who can be a valuable signing for the present and the future.
It is now up to the club to weigh up the pros and cons and decide who among Roque and Aubameyang they want to go after and start making moves to ensure that they have their signing in the bag.
