Barcelona and Real Madrid in transfer tussle over three players – report

The rivalry between La Liga behemoths Barcelona and Real Madrid is one of the fiercest in the game of football. The two clubs have been competing for major honours in the game for years altogether and sparks are guaranteed every time they step out on the pitch for an El Clasico encounter.
However, heading into the summer window, the rivalry seems to be spilling into the transfer market as well as Barcelona and Real Madrid are battling it out for the signing of three common targets for the upcoming window.
Indeed, Fichajes is reporting that Barcelona will go to war against Real Madrid in the summer to sign three main targets in the form of Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, AFC Ajax right-back Noussair Mazraoui and Brazilian teenage boy wonder, Endrick.
Haaland has been a major target for almost every elite club across Europe heading into the transfer window. However, it is Barcelona and Real Madrid who seem to be fighting the hardest for the Norwegian hitman’s signing.
Los Blancos are believed to have a verbal agreement with the centre-forward’s camp, but Barcelona are not going down without a fight and are prepared to pull out all the stops to bring the 21-year-old to Camp Nou from Signal Iduna Park.
As for Mazraoui, the Moroccan is a man in demand as both the clubs are in need of reinforcements at right-back. For Barcelona, Dani Alves’ contract expires in the summer while Sergino Dest is likely to be sold, leading to the requirement of a new player in the position.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, are on the lookout for a long-term replacement for Dani Carvajal, who has shown signs of decline this term. With Mazraoui set to become a free agent in the summer, he is seen as an attractive option by both the La Liga giants.
Finally, Barça and Madrid will battle it out for Palmeiras sensation Endrick. Just 15 years of age, the young forward is getting fans on the edge of their seats with his goalscoring exploits and is widely regarded as one of the best prospects in Brazilian football.
Barcelona are trying to avoid a scenario where they end up losing a gem to their rivals, as it happened with Vinicius Junior. Real Madrid, too, have made him a priority signing but PSG are believed to be the frontrunners as things stand.
