As the international break kicks on today, several players from Barcelona will be in action tonight. Barça Universal takes a look at the players who could don the national jersey tonight.

Turkey vs the Netherlands (6:00 PM CET): This matchup will see the Dutch midfielder Frenkie De Jong in action. Under Frank de Boer, most probably the 23-year-old will move to midfield after spending his last few minutes in the back three for the Catalan club.

France vs Ukraine (8:45 PM CET): The World Cup winner, Antoine Griezmann, will certainly be one of the confirmed starters. It remains to be seen if Ousmane Dembele and Clement Lenglet also get the nod ahead. The manager of the French National team, Didier Deschamps had words of appreciation for the Barcelona winger; however, him getting a chance ahead of Mbappe, Olivier Giroud, and Griezmann seems like an improbable event.

Finland vs Bosnia & Herzegovina (8:45 PM CET): Miralem Pjanic will finally get much-needed playing time with the national team. He has gone completely out of favor ever since Ilaix Moriba has stepped up and will look to get an impressive performance under his belt to impress Ronald Koeman.

In what will be a very peculiar UEFA, U-21 Euros also begins tonight. The group stages of the tournament will be played this week, and then the knockouts will be played after the season is completed.

Slovenia U-21 vs Spain U-21 (6:00 PM CET): This match could see Oscar Mingueza getting his first international cap. The Catalan centre-back has been in exceptional form in the last month and will look to build upon it and keep up the momentum. Another player who could feature tonight is Riqui Puig, the Spanish midfielder who has struggled to get minutes since the arrival of Pedri who also got his first national call-up. Puig will be looking to put on an impressive show in order to get his confidence back.

The international break has always been a risky proposition for football clubs. For an uncountable number of times, it has been seen that players come back injured after the break which hampers the team’s performances and balance. The Dutch manager would certainly be hoping that all players return fully fit as the Blaugranes head towards a very crucial stretch of 11 games until the end of the season.
