Barcelona progress to the Round of 16 of the Copa del Rey after coming from behind to defeat third tier side Linares Deportivo by two goals to one. Xavi’s side found themselves behind at the break, but come away with a narrow victory with goals from Ousmane Dembélé and Ferran Jutglà.

Xavi’s line-up included Dani Alves, who made his second Barça debut, as well as out of favour names such as Neto and Riqui Puig, neither of which did their chances of starting future games any fours. Xavi will be pleased to see the impact that Ousmane Dembélé had off the bench, especially following an extremely tense week surrounding the Frenchman’s renewal, as well as the consistently impressive performances of Ferran Jutglà.

Up next for Barcelona, it’s Granada away from home in La Liga, with the Catalans in search of breaking into the league’s top four.
