Watch: Discussing the Granada vs Barcelona game

Barcelona swiftly return to La Liga action to take on Granada away from home, following progression to the Round of 16 of the Copa del Rey midweek. Xavi’s side know that victory over Robert Moreno’s side could well leave the ‘Blaugrana’ in a Top Four spot come the end of the match week.

Barça’s opponents, Granada, enter the fixture in 13th place, and are unbeaten in their last six La Liga fixtures, dating all the way back to a 4-1 defeat to Real Madrid in November. Granada have proved tricky opposition for Barcelona in the past, most recently drawing at the Camp Nou, as well as defeating the Catalans in their home soil towards the latter end of last campaign.

Barcelona enter the fixture in positive spirits, having ended 2021 well, and started 2022 in similar vein. Xavi’s side have been without a whole host of players for their past two fixtures, and whilst the likes of Pedri, Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres are expected to miss out once more, young stars Pablo Gavi and Abde Ezzalzouli are expected to return.
