Barcelona suffer yet another humiliating defeat, this time by three goals to nil, at home, to Juventus. The result means that Barcelona now qualifies as second in the group, and will face much stronger opposition in the Round of 16.
Barcelona started the game in horrible fashion and were pegged behind following a poor refereeing decision that awarded Juventus an early spot-kick and a goal to Cristiano Ronaldo. And Juventus were soon leading by two after Weston McKennie converted a well-worked move from Juventus. Following yet another penalty in the second half, Juventus made it three, with Ronaldo scoring once more.
Another terrible result leaves things very sour over in Barcelona. We are without a board, struggling badly in La Liga, and now come second in the Champions League group stages, for the first time since 2006. On top of this, the players’ level seems to be dropping every week, and Ronald Koeman appears to be losing his cool as a coach. The chaos is evident; when it rains, it pours, in Barcelona.
