Three Barcelona stars most likely to be sold in the summer, including €70 million Tottenham target

Barcelona will be hoping to conduct a revolution at the club, with the aim of selling some big names in an attempt to raise money through player sales. The goal is to return to the 1:1 quotient in La Liga so they can make signings without problems.

Previous reports have stated that the Catalans will need to bring in at least €100-200 million to achieve their goal.

According to MARCA, there are three ‘big’ leading candidates that could be sold this summer: Raphinha, Jules Kounde, and Andreas Christensen.

This season was supposed to be Raphinha’s, especially after Ousmane Dembele’s departure to PSG in the summer. However, the first matchday of the season pretty much set the precedent for the rest of the season as he was sent off against Getafe.

His performances have been largely underwhelming since then, and it would be safe to say Lamine Yamal has comfortably taken over as the first-choice right-winger in the team.

A few Premier League teams are interested in Raphinha, including Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Manchester United, Newcastle United.

Spurs have, in fact, sent an offer worth €70 million if reports are to be believed. And while the Brazilian does not want to leave the club, he could be inclined to move for game-time should Barcelona accept the proposal.

Jules Kounde

While Jules Kounde is a very important part of the Barcelona squad, with an incredibly high potential, the centre-back position is the most stacked in the team, with four top players competing for spots.

Therefore, Kounde becomes one of the more expendable assets in the team. Barcelona will likely look to get at least €70-80 million for his services given his ability and versatility.

So far, no particular teams have been linked to the Frenchman, but given the drama within the club due to his positional demands, it would not be farfetched to assume he would readily accept a transfer elsewhere.

Andreas Christensen

Inarguably one of the most consistent performers for Barcelona, Christensen was brought in on a free transfer, and therefore, instantly becomes an asset the club can profit from.

The Dane has been dealing with ankle discomfort throughout the season, which has limited his playing time. Further, with Inigo Martinez in superb form pre-injury, the Dane was seamlessly replaced in the starting lineup.

Several Premier League teams are interested in his signature as per reports. Barcelona could look to ask a sum around €50-60 million, which would be more than fair given his performances since arriving to Catalonia.
