Superagent to meet Barcelona officials to discuss the future of out-of-favour forward

Superagent Jorge Mendes will be arriving at the FC Barcelona offices today to discuss the future of out-of-favour forward Ansu Fati, reports Helena Condis of COPE.
Fati, 20, has fallen down the pecking order of things at Barcelona this season, finding himself behind Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Ousmane Dembele, and Ferran Torres.
The Spanish international’s game-time has taken a huge hit as a result as he has largely been relegated to making appearances off the bench.
Fati’s situation, coupled with Barcelona’s need to make sales this summer, have sparked speculations about his continuity beyond this season, even though the player is understood to be reluctant to leave.
The explosive interview given by his father recently made the situation worse and it has been reported that Barça would be open to selling Fati if a good offer were to arrive in the summer window.
And now, Mendes will be meeting with club officials later today to further discuss the matter.
As per the report, the Portuguese superagent believes that he can find the 20-year-old La Masia graduate a good club this summer.
Teams such as Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Bayern Munich are said to be interested in signing Fati, whose exit looks very much likely despite his unwillingness to leave the club.
It has also been previously suggested that Mendes has assured Barcelona that clubs from the Premier League would offer €70 million to land the Spanish prodigy.
Fati has played 45 games across all competitions this season, racking up a tally of seven goals and three assists. However, it must be noted that of his 45 appearances, only 11 have been starts in La Liga, which gives an indicator of where he stands in Xavi’s plans.
With there being plans to sign a new centre-forward and possibly a left-winger as well, Ansu’s exit seems very much probable in the summer.
