As the pandemic continues to stab and let football clubs bleed money (especially those outside England), there has been an exciting turn of events in the heart of Spain. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Real Madrid have made a €160 million formal bid for Kylian Mbappe.

Paris Saint-Germain have not given their approval for the transfer, but it seems that Mbappe has no interest in staying in France any longer. He has declined three different contract extension offers from PSG.

Mbappe has been linked with a move to Madrid for several years now, but it seems this could finally be the year the deal comes to fruition. On the last year of his contract, PSG would not let the Frenchman walk away on a free transfer next year.

Moreover, with Lionel Messi among their arsenal, the Paris outfit do not have to worry about the lack of firepower. In fact, this could be Mbappe’s attempt to become the face of La Liga and guide Madrid to the league throne.

With arguably the biggest football journalist confirming the bid from Madrid, this is certainly the transfer that will keep fans on their toes for the next week.
