PSG eyeing a move for Barcelona attacker as part of plan to convince Mbappe to stay
Barcelona’s financial situation seems to be improving as we get closer and closer to the summer transfer window. The Catalans are close to returning to the 1:1 rule for departures and arrivals and are very close to achieving the salary limit set by La Liga.
However, there is still a big debate surrounding who the club will ship out in the summer. After all, Xavi Hernandez just won La Liga with the existing setup and every piece appears to be a vital component.
Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres and Franck Kessie are some of the players most linked with a move away from Spotify Camp Nou.
Now, according to reports from SPORT, Ousmane Dembele is another Barcelona player who has generated interest in the market.
Paris Saint-Germain are particularly interested in the Barça star and see him as a good option to replace the departing Lionel Messi. This could, ironically, set up a virtual player exchange between the Parisians and Barcelona although it is clear that Xavi Hernandez would not approve.
The Spanish manager has long maintained that he sees Dembele as an irreplaceable member of his squad. When fit, the Frenchman is a default starter for the team and it is clear that the Blaugrana depend on him heavily to break open defences.
PSG, meanwhile, hope to use Dembele as a resource to convince Kylian Mbappe to stay. The youngster is only one of the French team’s four summer targets with Randal Kolo Muani, Bernardo Silva, and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg completing the list.
Dembele is contracted with Barcelona until the summer of 2024 with a termination clause of €50 million. The clause is indeed low for a player of his quality, and the Catalans hope to reach an agreement over a renewal until 2027 soon.

Only Messi is irreplaceable!! None of the other players equal Messi’s
gifted talent………… Why is Barca once again getting rid of Messi’s friends? Bartemeu did this. Give Messi some friends on the pitch who know how to play with him. [Plus, PSG did the same thing in his 2nd year.]
Young talent can burn out. Messi & co. have not.
Still wish Busquets & Alba were staying!
