Barcelona continue their winning streak in LaLiga and have temporarily closed the gap with the league leaders. And as it always seems to be the case lately, the Catalans have done it through a great comeback and a lot of drama.
This time, it was Lionel Messi coming to his club’s rescue following his appearance in the second half of the clash. SPORT say this was another case of the Argentine proving he is simply ‘priceless‘.
But it wasn’t just Leo that set things into motion as the likes of Pedri and perhaps even more importantly, Francisco Trincão shined on the night to give the Catalans the victory.
Now, with six in a row on their account, Barcelona are starting to look like a team once more. The only blur of the night is Ronald Araújo’s injury but it does seem like it’s a minor one at least.
Mundo Deportivo have decided to dedicate their whole cover to Trincão himself as it was his goal that sealed the deal.
It was a truly spectacular strike and one that was long overdue as well. The Portuguese winger has been trying and trying for the last couple of appearances but luck was not on his side.
Now, however, with the whole game at stake and the clock slowly ticking, he took matter in his own hands, or rather, feet. We’ll have to wait and see how much of a morale boost is this going to be for the young player.
