Official: Pedri withdrawn from Spanish national team squad list for qualifiers

In recent unfortunate news, it has been reported that Pedri picked up a relapse in his injury in training and has been ruled out for the Real Madrid clash on the weekend. The player was on track to make a return for the game, but his recovery has not gone according to plan.
After it was reported that the player had returned to group training recently, the Spanish national team decided to call the player for the 2024 European Championship Qualifiers against Norway and Scotland.
However, the player has now officially been withdrawn after Barcelona communicated the midfielder’s injury update to La Roja.

“The national coach, Luis de la Fuente, has unsummoned Pedri for the next few matches of the Spanish National Team after the conversations held between the medical services of the Royal Spanish Football Federation and Barcelona,” the official statement read.
They have also confirmed that Spain will consider calling up a different player to replace Pedri in the squad.
Gavi and Alejandro Balde are the other Barcelona players that have been called up for the games, with Eric Garcia, Ferran Torres, Ansu Fati, and Jordi Alba missing out. Sergio Busquets, meanwhile, has retired from international services.
