Official: Barcelona register Inaki Pena with La Liga

The deadline day has been a busy one for FC Barcelona given that they have had to complete multiple operations in a limited time.
But they appear to be tasting success on all fronts as they are taking the signings of Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix for granted at this point.
Meanwhile, now, the Blaugrana have gone ahead and completed the registration of goalkeeper Inaki Pena with La Liga.
The 24-year-old was one of the two first-team members left unregistered after three matchweeks, with the club dealing with FFP issues.
As such, Xavi had been counting on youngsters Ander Astralaga and Diego Kochen as his backups for first-choice custodian Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

But, on the deadline day, the La Liga champions have gone ahead and completed the registration of Pena, who signed a new contract with the club until 2026 earlier this year.
With this move, Xavi will again have his preferred second-choice goalkeeper available from the upcoming game against CA Osasuna.
The registration of Inigo Martinez now remains pending, although it is also expected to be addressed soon, with La Liga reportedly approving the personal guarantees provided by the club board, enabling the signings and registering of players.
