Official: Barcelona confirm the nature of Andreas Christensen’s injury

Barcelona’s injury problems were heated up during the international break when Andreas Christensen picked up an injury while playing for Denmark against Finland.
He was taken off before the 20th-minute mark, with reports claiming that he would miss nearly a fortnight of football for Barcelona.
Barcelona have officially confirmed the nature of the injury to the Danish international in an official statement today.

“Tests carried out on Saturday on the first team player Andreas Christensen have shown that he has an injury to his left calf,” the statement reads.
Christensen is, therefore, unavailable for selection, and will miss Barça’s clash against Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey semi-finals second leg.
The Catalans are already missing Pedri and Ousmane Dembele for El Clasico due to injury, and could also be without Frenkie de Jong, who has picked up a muscle strain.
