Liverpool, Arsenal, Man United interested in out-of-favour Barcelona forward – reports

When he broke through under Ernesto Valverde in the 2019/20 season, Ansu Fati was not expected to achieve great things. He had barely played for Barcelona B up until that point, and was only called to the senior team after injuries to Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Ousmane Dembele.
However, he grabbed his chance with both hands, and made himself a household name. He scored seven goals across 24 games that season. He started next season brilliantly as well, with four goals in seven games before picking up an ACL injury.
Life has changed for the Spaniard since then. He has constantly found himself sidelined due to injury relapses. This season, though, he has had his minutes cut short drastically as Xavi has found different solutions to his starting lineup.
Consequentially, Fati has been left disappointed. He has not suffered from any injuries, and wants a bigger role, as per Anais Marti Herrero.
Meanwhile, the report also suggests that there are several European clubs keeping an eye on the Spaniard for the summer. Among these are Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, who seem to be especially interested.
Bayern Munich, too, are keeping tabs on Fati, but Barcelona have not received any formal offers for the player, yet.
Fabrizio Romano has also added the names of Liverpool and Manchester United in this list, saying they are following Fati with ‘great interest’. They have had conversations with the player’s agent, as well.
Rumours regarding Fati’s exit have been circling the sky in the past few days, with reports suggesting that his agent, Jorge Mendes was looking for a solution for his client. Joan Laporta dismissed this in a press conference earlier today, though, saying:
“Ansu Fati? He is a Barça player, in whom we have high hopes and we have no news that his agent wants to do anything.”
Fati has played every single Barcelona game in the league – 20 -, but has only started seven of these games. During this time, he has three goals and three assists.
