With Barcelona expected to offload several players over the course of the summer transfer window, one of the stars who is likely to be on his way out is Riqui Puig.

The La Masia graduate generated a lot of excitement and expectations when he rose through the academy ranks and made his senior team breakthrough. However, things have not gone according to plans for the 22-year-old, as he has struggled to nail down a place in the side.

Puig was frozen out of the team by Ronald Koeman, while things have failed to improve for him under Xavi Hernandez either. And, the Spaniard has been told by the manager that he is not going to be a part of his plans for the future.

And, SPORT is now reporting that Puig is open to considering the offers that will arrive for him in the summer. With his contract expiring in 2023, a sale is seen as the best course of action from the club’s perspective and four clubs have shown an interest in the midfielder.

Celta Vigo are one of the teams interested Puig as they need a replacement for ex-Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez, who is on his way out. The Galician club have been a favourable destination for a number of La Masia prospects in the past and Puig could be the next to make the move.

Valencia are another La Liga side keen on landing the 22-year-old Barça prospect. Los Che are close to appointing Gennaro Gattuso as their new manager, who is an admirer of Puig and is keen on making the midfielder one of his first signings at the Mestalla.

Getafe are also interested in Puig and have been long-term admirers of the La Masia product. The Madrilenian outfit had made an attempt to sign him in January but had failed in their attempt. However, a summer move could be on the cards to reunite Puig with fellow La Masia graduate Carles Alena.

Finally, second division club Andorra, owned by Puig’s Barcelona teammate Gerard Pique, are also interested. Their manager, Eder Sarabia has publicly expressed his desire to sign the 22-year-old, although them playing in the lower league could be an issue.
