Barcelona let go of Ansu Fati and Ez Abde during the last days of the summer transfer window, leaving them Ferran Torres, Raphinha, and Robert Lewandowski as part of their attacking force ahead of the new season.

They ended up singing Joao Felix on loan from Atletico Madrid on deadline day, though, while Lamine Yamal was expected to receive regular call-ups from the youth squad.

Further, Barcelona had also completed the signing of Vitor Roque from Athletico, with the Brazilian set to join in January.

Unfortunately, Roque suffered a serious injury against Internacional in the Brazilian league yesterday, and had to be substituted off on a stretcher in tears.

Out for two months

According to an update provided by SPORT, Roque has been ruled out for nearly two months. Fortunately, no fracture has been detected, and all signs point towards it being a sprain.

It is the first injury Roque has suffered in his senior career, and currently there are no serious future implications stemming from it.

That said, he will miss majority of the games carried out in October and November. The Brazilian season comes to a close in December, and as it stands, him being out for the season is a real possibility.

The 18-year-old will move to Barcelona officially during the winter transfer window in January, and his last game ending in an injury would be a huge blow for both him and the club.
