Barcelona are poised to extend the contract of Ousmane Dembele, who is reportedly prepared to take a hefty 40% salary reduction in order to continue his chapter under Xavi Hernandez.
Barça are in involved in the race to sign Raphinha as well, with the club trying their best to accommodate both the wingers in the same squad, ahead of the new season.
According to a report from Diario AS, the addition of these two players could significantly alter Barcelona’s squad planning for the season ahead, with two players, in particular, likely to be heavily affected.
One of the two players in question is Abde Ezzalzouli. The report suggests Barcelona are planning to inform Abde to find a new club if they are able to sign both Dembele and Raphinha this summer.
As per Nil Sola, Abde Ezzalzouli may have already found a suitor in the form of Girona. The club owned by the City Group are latest to join a long list of teams interested in the Barcelona winger ahead of the new season.
Formerly of Hercules, the Moroccan international notably featured in ten league games for Barça last season. But his progress in the first team stalled after the January arrival of Adama Traore, Ferran Torres and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Abde ended up in the reserve squad and has no apparent prospect in the first team, especially if Barcelona are able to boast the services of both Dembele and Raphinha.
Girona want to sign Ez Abde on a season-long loan deal, although they are certainly not alone in the pursuit. A host of other first division teams have approached Abde, and therefore, a move away from Camp Nou could be in the offing for the 20-year-old speedster.
