Bayern Munich pushing to lure Ajax starlet away from Barcelona

According to the ever-reliable Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich are trying all they can to secure the signing of Noussair Mazraoui from Ajax, and to prevent the Moroccan from choosing Barcelona.
The Italian journalist reports that the Bundesliga giants have been in talks with superagent Mino Raiola for weeks in order to strike up a deal for two of Ajax’s most mouthwatering prospects.
Bayern are keen on signing both Mazraoui and Ryan Gravenberch from the Dutch outfit, but Barcelona being in the race for the former is slowing down proceedings. Especially since the fullback is tempted by the Catalans’ offer.
Barcelona are reportedly waiting on Mazraoui’s final answer to their proposal, which includes a contract with a salary of 5 million euros per season. However, it is not exactly clear how much Bayern Munich are willing to offer the player.
There have only been speculative reports, that state the Germans are making an offer that is far more financially lucrative. Ultimately, the decision still lies with the player, who has not yet made any concrete statements.
Bayern have been pushing hard, with manager Julian Nagelsmann and CEO Oliver Kahn directly speaking to the 24-year-old in trying to get him to join.
The Bavarians are trying to work out a type of two-player package deal with Raiola for Mazraoui and Gravenberch, which would be a stellar piece of business for them. However, it would be quite the setback for Barcelona.
