Barcelona young duo have built a special relation with Dembele, have improved his Spanish

Barcelona hammered Sevilla at the Camp Nou when the two sides met for gameweek 20th this weekend. Gavi, Raphinha, and Jordi Alba were all on the scoresheet, with all players displaying a very high level of performance.
And while he did not play, the attention often shifted towards a certain Ousmane Dembele in the stands. The Frenchman is ruled out for nearly a month due to a muscle injury, but was in attendance for the mouthwatering clash.
Dembele was also part of Gavi’s celebration after the second goal as the latter went over to the stands to hug the former.

Catalunya Radio brings forth important information regarding Dembele in a recent report, suggesting that the World Cup winner has built a special relationship with Pedri and Gavi. In fact, the news says that the whole team has become a family after Xavi’s arrival at the club.
The duo helped Dembele improve his Spanish as the 25-year-old was notably not fluent in the language despite spending five years at Barça.
He has also had more of a presence with the media recently, interacting more frequently with his teammates after years of struggling off the pitch.
These changes have also been reflecting in Dembele’s game, as he has taken a huge step up in becoming a very important player under Xavi.
For context, last season, he assisted 13 goals in 21 appearances, and has managed to carry on most of his form into this season as well. His five goals and five assists in 18 games in La Liga exemplify the same.
Dembele will miss a bunch of games in the most hectic part of the season, but rest assured, he is one of the fundamental pillars of Xavi’s project, and is in line for a contract extension if he can maintain his momentum.
