Following weeks of speculations, FC Barcelona have finally announced Nico Gonzalez’s exit from Camp Nou. The youngster has joined FC Porto on a permanent deal, with the Portuguese giants set to pay a figure of around €8.5 million.

Nico’s sale could go some way in helping Barcelona balance the books. But there are many other unwanted stars Barça need to offload before they can be a in position to return to the 1:1 equation this summer.

To that end, Javi Miguel has pointed out that Franck Kessie, Clement Lenglet, and Sergino Dest are the next three players expected to leave Camp Nou.

It was earlier reported that Barça have at least seven players facing an uncertain future at the club. These three top that list, with each having fallen out of favour under Xavi Hernandez’s plans for the season ahead.

Kessie has been informed that he will not have a prominent role in the team after Ilkay Gundogan’s arrival, with Xavi advising him to find a new club.

Barcelona have already received a lot of interest in the services of Kessie. The Ivorian has been a target for Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur.

Lenglet and Dest: Hard to sell

However, when it comes to Dest and Lenglet, Barcelona have had problems finding suitors.

Tottenham have shown the desire to sign Lenglet on a permanent deal, but the two clubs are yet to reach an agreement.

If the deal with Spurs falls through, the Blaugrana are going to have a tough time finding any other suitor for Lenglet.

The same applies to Dest, who is yet to even find any European club serious about his services this summer.

Unlike Lenglet, the American international is coming on the back of a poor loan spell at AC Milan, and despite Barça’s apparent lack of right-backs, Dest will not be a part of Xavi’s plans.

In fact, the Catalans have recently rekindled their pursuit of Ivan Fresneda, but one would imagine the deal would depend on the sale of these three unwanted stars.
