According to AS, Xavi had already put up incentives for the team if they were able to defeat Valencia. He had indeed promised the players two and a half days off after they secured the three points.

Following the 1-0 result, Xavi granted Tuesday and Wednesday off for Barcelona players, and postponed the restart of training until Thursday afternoon, thereby giving the players almost a 72-hour window to enjoy themselves.
