Barcelona are ready to up the ante in their pursuit of Leeds United winger Raphinha, according to SPORT.

The Blaugrana view the 25-year-old as a viable candidate to replace contract rebel Ousmane Dembele, who will be on his way out in the summer transfer window when his current deal runs out.

While Barcelona have been looking at several options to replace the Frenchman, they seem to have narrowed in on Raphinha as their priority target. Indeed, the Catalans already have agreed personal terms with the former Rennes ace as per reports.

Furthermore, Barça already had lodged a bid worth €35 million for the Brazilian international, only to see it get knocked back by Leeds.

Now, as per the aforementioned report, Xavi & co. are set to raise their offer for their primary target. It is claimed that the Catalan giants will now make an offer worth around €50 million to sign the 25-year-old attacker.

The offer will be broken into two parts, with €40 million being the fixed part of the offer and the remaining €10 million in variables. It is further claimed that the Blaugrana have no intention of raising their offer beyond this mark.

Reports indicated that Leeds would demand at least €50 million to let their prized asset leave in the summer. Whether they find the latest proposal from Barcelona acceptable or not remains to be seen.

However, in the scenario that Leeds end up getting relegated from the Premier League, Raphinha would become available for half that amount, i.e., €25 million. With things picking up speed, it might not be long before Barcelona seal the deal for the winger.
