Barcelona’s youth-centric approach to their long-term project has watered a lot of rumours about their transfer targets in the future.

Brazil has always been a feeding ground for incredible talents, and one of the most promising ones from their current crop of players – Vitor Roque – is on the precipice of joining Barcelona in a couple of months.

And now, over in Indonesia, another exciting young prospect is turning heads with his stellar performances at the U17 World Cup.

Estevao Willian (nicknamed Messinho) for his terrific technical ability, has entered the radar for many of Europe’s top clubs, as reported by Mundo Deportivo.

The 16-year-old Palmeiras winger was already being eyed by many, but now he is cementing his status as one of football’s big future stars with his performances at the youth tournament with three goals and four assists.

Man United, City, PSG among interested clubs

Messinho has previously been very vocal about his desire to ultimately play for Barcelona, but if the Catalans are to make a move for him, they will need to fend off a number of big teams vying for his signature.

After signing his first professional contract in Brazil last season, Estevao’s release clause was set at 60 million euros, and according to MD, PSG have already made an offer of 40 million, which then increased to 50.

But in addition to PSG, Premier League giants Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea are also after the Brazilian gem.

And the latest update highlights that Barcelona’s eternal rivals Real Madrid have also entered the mix, and reportedly contacted Palmeiras to ask about the player’s situation.

Given the youngster’s inclination to play for the Blaugrana, clearly, they hold an advantage if they are to pursue the winger, but as we know, there are a lot of financial obstacles that stand in the way.
