Barcelona misfit’s agents believe he will join Eredivisie giants – reports

Barcelona outcast Sergino Dest has been at the exit door all summer. However, the lack of concrete offers on the player’s table led to him working preseason with the Catalans.
The club initially hoped to capitalise on his situation by giving him one more chance to prove his worth to Xavi Hernandez.
Dest played a part in all three of Barcelona’s games in the USA, but the tour in America made it clear that he had no place under Xavi.
The Blaugranas have thus reignited the operation to sell Dest. This time, they hit luck with PSV Eindhoven who are showing concrete interest in the USMNT star.
According to reports from AS, Dest’s agents are convinced that the player will sign for the Dutch outfit this summer.
This comes as music to the ears of Joan Laporta & co. who have been working hard to reduce the team’s wage bill.
Barcelona and PSV still need time
While it is clear that Barcelona wish to sell Dest at any cost, the operation is far from done.
Reports earlier today placed the probability of his move to PSV at 50% and stated that Barcelona and PSV still needed time to close talks.

The Eindhoven-based side are looking to sign Dest on a season-long loan with an option to buy.
However, it remains to be seen as to where Barcelona stand on that proposal. After all, the optional purchase clause did not fare well in Dest’s last loan stint.
Who will Xavi count on at right-back?
The Spanish tactician hoped to count on Ronald Araujo at right-back this season until a natural player in the position arrived.
However, the Uruguayan is now injured and will not play part for at least a month.
Barcelona are speeding up talks with Joao Cancelo and hope to close his arrival at the earliest. The Portuguese star is now one step away from joining Barcelona, and the coming days will be key.
