According to journalist Javi Miguel of AS, it is not clear whether Franck Kessie will be on the flight for Barcelona’s pre-season tour of the United States of America later this month.

It is believed that the 26-year-old could stay back in Catalonia if a good offer arrives for him before July 19 so that he can finalise his exit.

Kessie has been at the club for only a year but could already be on his way out this summer due to the overbooking of midfield options in the squad as well as the club’s need to make some sales.

The 26-year-old has appeared reluctant to leave thus far, but Xavi is understood to have spoken to him and the midfielder would be open to leaving if a good offer arrives.

As such, Kessie might not make it to the pre-season tour of the USA later this month, where the Blaugrana are scheduled to play Juventus, Arsenal, Real Madrid, and AC Milan.

Reports suggest that Kessie is attracting interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia, who are willing to hand him a lucrative contract while Premier League giants Chelsea are said to be keen as well.

Meanwhile, from Italy, Juventus are also sizing up a move for Kessie as a potential replacement for Paul Pogba, who is being linked with a transfer to Saudi Arabia.

So, there does not appear to be a shortage of suitors for the Ivory Coast international at the moment. And should any of the aforementioned clubs come up with an acceptable offer before July 19, Kessie will be left out of the travelling squad for the pre-season tour of the US.
