With just a few days remaining until the summer transfer window comes to a close, many Barcelona players are facing the prospect of a potential move away from Camp Nou.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been at the centre of attraction, amid speculations linking him with a move to Chelsea. But another Barcelona player in contention to depart the club is Miralem Pjanic.

The Bosnian international has become a subject of interest for Al-Nassr. This has been reported by Helena Condis, who suggests the Saudi Arabian outfit have contacted the player’s entourage, exploring the possibility of a late move for the midfielder.

Al-Nassr are coached by Rudi Garcia, who is keen on signing European players in order to strengthen the team and boost their chances in domestic competitions.

The likes of Gonzalo Martinez, David Ospina, and Luiz Gustavo are some of the big-name players who already ply their trade with Al Nassr. But after finishing third in the league last term, the club are determined to sign more star players in the market.

Miralem Pjanic fits the bill well as the Barcelona star is one of the most experienced midfielders currently available in the market. What makes him an even more interesting target for Al Nassr is his experience of working under Garcia.

Pjanic featured in more than 100 competitive matches under Garcia during their time together at AS Roma. During his spell with the Giallorossi, the Bosnian had established himself as one of the best midfielders in Serie A.

Although Rudi Garcia does not expect him to rekindle that old form at Al Nassr, he feels the addition of the Barcelona superstar could add great weight to his team’s chances of winning the Saudi Arabian title in the new season.

As such, Al Nassr are expected to make a late attempt to lure Pjanic away from Camp Nou. Barça, for their part, are unlikely to object to the transfer, though it remains to be seen whether the Arabian outfit can get the paperwork done in time.
