Barcelona make price inquiry about Bundesliga forward for this summer

Barcelona are interested in reinforcing their team for next season, with gaping holes at right-back, centre-back, defensive midfield, and even in attack.
Ousmane Dembele and Raphinha currently act as the Catalans’ options for the right-wing, with Ferran Torres and Ansu Fati the natural left-wingers in the squad, with Gavi their alternative. Robert Lewandowski mans the centre-forward role alone.
In an attempt to add depth to their attack by spending as little money and resources as possible, Barcelona seem to have approached RB Leipzig. They have inquired them about Dani Olmo’s price for this summer transfer window, according to ElDesmarque.
Barcelona have had Olmo on their radar for a while, now. They were initially interested in signing him ahead of the 2021 summer transfer window after Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann left the club.
The Spaniard was once part of La Masia, but ventured abroad in search for senior game-time as chances with Barcelona’s first-team at the time were going to be far and few in between.
He joined Leipzig from Dinamo Zagreb in 2020, and is now set to become a free agent next season. Earlier reports stated that Barça were interested in Olmo for 2024, but could go for him this year itself amid competition from Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.
Outlets have also stated that Leipzig are ready to sell Olmo for €30 million this summer if they fail to reach an agreement with the player over an extension.
The 25-year-old currently plays as an attacking midfielder and a left-winger, but also has experience as a false 9 with Spain and Leipzig. On paper, he could certainly cover several cracks at Barcelona, but the transfer is too early to call.
