Following the 3-2 win over UD Barbastro in the Copa del Rey on Sunday, Barcelona will now swiftly shift their focus to the Spanish Super Cup.

The current holders of the trophy will travel to Saudi Arabia this week as they look to retain the Super Cup, which would be a boost for the club both in terms of confidence and finances.

Pedri, Cancelo will travel to Saudi Arabia

Ahead of the trip to Saudi Arabia tomorrow, Barcelona are sweating over the availability of two key players in the form of Pedri and Joao Cancelo.

Both players are currently recovering from injuries and are seen as major doubts for the upcoming Spanish Super Cup semi-final vs Osasuna.

But, according to Fernando Polo of Mundo Deportivo, Pedri and Cancelo will travel with the team for the Spanish Super Cup if they do not suffer any aggravation of their injuries between today and tomorrow.

Barça travel to Saudi Arabia tomorrow and the forecast at this stage is that both the midfielder and the full-back will travel with the rest of their available teammates.

While they may be on the flight, the situation regarding their availability and involvement in matches remains unclear.

If there is a risk of relapse both Pedri and Cancelo will not play but at least they will be with the group, which could be out of Barcelona for almost a week if they play in the final.

There is a positive though as Pedri did a part of the training with the rest of the group today, which should fill fans with hope that he could return.

Cancelo, who has sprained his knee in the game against Las Palmas, is pushing himself hard to return in time for the Super Cup. But as iterated earlier, no risks will be taken with either player, and a final decision on their involvement will be made depending on their feelings.
