Jadon Sancho has had a difficult time at Manchester United ever since he joined the club on a big-money move from Borussia Dortmund.

This season, the forward has fallen down the pecking order and has had a major falling-out with manager Erik ten Hag.

Barcelona attentive to Sancho’s situation

According to SPORT, FC Barcelona are keeping tabs on Sancho’s situation at Old Trafford.

The Catalans are weighing up the possibility of signing the Englishman on a loan deal in the upcoming January transfer window.

Barcelona reinforced their ranks in the attacking department on transfer deadline day by signing Joao Felix. But the club also had to let go of Abde Ezzalzouli and Ansu Fati, while Ousmane Dembele also joined PSG.

Barça, therefore, are keen on further reinforcing their options in the offensive unit, with Sancho emerging as a potential target in the January transfer window.

Sancho: A scapegoat for Man United?

There has been growing tension between Sancho and coach Erik ten Hag, who has not counted the Englishman in his plans at all.

The former Borussia Dortmund starlet is yet to even start a single game for Man United this season and was not part of the squad in the last two matches.

This came on the back of complaints about Sancho’s attitude in the dressing room, with Ten Hag even publicly admitting that he is unsure whether the attacker will be a part of the team again.

The winger’s recent social media outburst has led to him being cast aside from team training until the ‘disciplinary issue’ is resolved.

As a result, Sancho could be open for a way out in the upcoming January transfer window. A return to Dortmund could be on the cards, but Barcelona, too, appear to be an interesting option for the attacker.

These are still early days and it is hard to say what the future holds for the talented English youngster, who can offer a lot to the table for Barcelona.
