Barcelona keeping a close eye on Juventus’ situation as a market opportunity for summer

The crisis at Juventus is real after they received the sanction for money laundering and financial irregularities. A hard punishment stands their way, as they lose 15 straight points in Serie A and will now find it difficult to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League.

The newly hit situation is just beginning to sink in at the offices in Turin, sending them into a state of panic. After all, they could face a mass exodus in the summer in the likely event that they miss out on UCL football.

According to reports from SPORT, Barcelona are one of the several clubs keeping a close eye on Juventus’ situation. The Blaugrana administration see a strategic chance to sign several of the Bianconeri stars in June for bargain fees in case of an exodus due to the club’s plight.

Manuel Locatelli is one of the players who could interest the Catalans, given his special attributes in the midfield. Additionally, Barcelona also have their eyes on the likes of Federico Chiesa and Dusan Vlahovic who have been phenomenal this season. 

Adrien Rabiot, who was a long-term target for the Blaugranas, will also be available on the market in the summer as a midfield reinforcement. Young talent Fabio Miretti, a 19-year-old midfielder breaking the headlines in Italy by virtue of sheer quality, would also be an option.

Barcelona share a good rapport with the administration in Turin and both are torchbearers of the proposed Super Ligue bandwagon that is set to rock the footballing world.
